Brendon announced on Instagram on January 24 that he and his wife are expecting their first child together.

The 35-year-old former Panic! at the Disco vocalist disclosed,

“However, a trip must end in order for a new one to begin. Although some of you may have heard, we’ve been attempting to keep it quiet… Sarah and I are expecting a kid in the near future!”

He went on to describe his joy at being a father for the first time. Urie remarked,

“The notion of becoming a parent and witnessing my wife becoming a mother is both humbling and thrilling. I eagerly anticipate this new experience.”

Along with the pregnancy news, the singer disclosed that his band “Panic! at the Sisco” has disbanded in order to devote more time to his family. He announced the news in his statement.

“Therefore, I will close this chapter of my life and devote my attention and energy to my family, and Panic! at the Disco will cease to exist.”

“Growing up in Las Vegas, I never could have anticipated where my life would lead me. So many places throughout the globe and so many friends met along the way,”

Urie and his boyhood pals Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, and Brent Wilson established the band in 2004. A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, their debut studio album, was released the following year.

As a result of the success of their second song, “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” the album was certified triple platinum in the United States.
