Kim Hyung-SEO, better known by her stage name BIBI, is now working on her next project following the release of her song Animal Farm. The Vincenzo star Song Joong-ki will appear alongside the South Korean singer-songwriter in a noir drama movie.
On September 23, 2022, Korean media outlets reported that BIBI has been cast as Song Joong-co-star ki’s in the upcoming noir movie Hwaran (Korean translation). Hwaran’s distributor, Megabox Plus M, confirmed that the K-pop star would be featured in the upcoming production after the news broke.
The protagonist of the movie will also be played by Hong Xa Bin of Tune In For Love (2019), in addition to Song and BIBI. Hong has previously won praise for his exceptional work in short films like On Leave and Save Me.
A well-known K-drama actor with a long list of achievements is Song Joong-ki. His filmography includes Descendants of the Sun, Arthdal Chronicles, The Innocent Man, and more titles. In the noir thriller Hwaran, a group of characters is forced to take risky actions to flee their miserable real life.
BIBI has been cast in the noir movie Hwaran, which also stars Song Joong-ki.
According to The Korea Herald, BIBI will play Yun-sister, kyu’s Ha-yan, while Hong Xa Bin will play the film’s protagonist, Chi-gun, and Song Joong-ki will play her.
In a comment on his part in the movie, Sog Joong-ki said:
Although I’m thrilled to be working on the Hwaran project, I’m torn about this new project because it will be challenging for me. Being on set with such amazing actors and a talented director makes me happy.
The movie will be directed by Kim Chang-hoon. According to Megabox Plus M, filming began on September 13 in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province. Fans of the singer are thrilled about her new project, especially since she was forced to drop out of season 2 of Netflix’s Sweet Home due to scheduling conflicts.
Lowlife: Princess: Noir, BIBI’s debut studio album, is currently being completed and is scheduled for release sometime in the following month. She also made the pre-release track Animal Farm available on her birthday, Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
The new movie and first album from the Weekend singer will thrill fans. The Maybe If singer made her acting debut in the horror movie Whispering Corridors 6: The Humming last year. With the movie, the 24-year-old singer unquestionably showed off her range of talents, and Hwaran will be yet another successful addition to her résumé.
