Is Bernie Madoff’s Wife, Ruth, Still Alive?

Ruff Madoff, Bernie’s ex-wife, is still very much here and going about her business.

Death rumors around public figures are often spread for attention-grabbing purposes. Rumor spreaders just care about the likes and comments they receive.

Since the Ruth Madoff series on Netflix has been canceled, you should ignore the rumor.

Her New York birthdate of May 18th, 1941 makes her 81 years young.

Both of her parents, Saul and Sara Alpern, have passed away since she was born. Both of her parents have passed away; her accountant father in 1999 and her nurse mother in 1996.

Both of them got along wonderfully with Madoff. She and her sister Joan Roman came from religiously observant Jewish families and were nurtured together.

Ruth Madoff and Bernie Madoff tied the knot when she was only 18 years old after the couple met in high school.

After a lengthy courtship, they tied the knot in 1959. Many people looked up to them as a model pair.

Who Are They Missing in Action?

They started a family after they tied the knot in 1959 and had two kids together. But sadly, neither of them survives in the present day.

After only two short months of marriage in 1994, the Madoffs became parents to their son Mark Madoff. They later welcomed their son Andrew Madoff.

Mark, their eldest son and the most kind and lovable of the two, took his own life in 2010. His loved ones must be devastated. During those two years, his father was incarcerated.

At the age of 46, while working as a trader for his father’s company, Mark took his own life by hanging himself in his apartment. He was married and the father of a young boy.

The couple lost their second child, Andrew, only four years later to cancer. In 2003, Andrew was diagnosed with cancer; specifically, mantle cell lymphoma.

While he was in the hospital fighting cancer, Ruth, his mother, never left his side. Andrew is a father of two himself.

Ruth had lost both of her children, and her husband was serving a life sentence in jail. Hypertension, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, and chronic renal disease took his life in 2021 when he was 82 years old.
