In a recent interview on Feb. 16, ‘Elvis’ star Austin Butler stated that he is ‘proud’ of Disney Channel graduate Selena Gomez, with whom he shared the cover of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood Issue.

The 31-year-old Hollywood hottie Austin Butler has already had a very successful year, and it’s only February!

After appearing in Vanity Fair’s 2023 Hollywood Issue alongside Selena Gomez, 30, star of Only Murders in the Building, Elvis Presley shared how thrilled he is with his close friend.

Thursday, he gushed to ExtraTV, “I’ve known her [Selena] for so many years, so it’s good to share space with somebody for so long, and I’m just very pleased with her.”

“Being able to view her documentary [Selena Gomez: My Mind & Myself] impacted me as well… I felt that was incredibly courageous.”

Austin stated at the conclusion of the interview that he felt “proud to be in her company” during the Steven Klein photoshoot. During an interview with Vanity Fair, Austin remembered a touching encounter he experienced with Selena while filming Elvis.

“While I was filming Elvis, Selena discovered this photo of us from when I appeared on Wizards of Waverly Place as a guest star. And she sends it to me with the message, “Wow, do you remember this? It feels like another existence,’ he told the publication.

“When you’re a little actor, you see so many individuals from Texas or elsewhere come in, and at a certain point, they may leave or return. We are extremely fortunate to have had careers in this industry for so long.”

In addition to his beautiful interactions with the “Same Old Love” singer, the blonde hottie also discussed his sustained success after Elvis. Austin is pleased not only because his triumph took time, but also because he is now old enough to appreciate it.

“I mean, there were times when I thought, Oh, maybe it won’t ever happen or I’ll never have those possibilities.

But now, with hindsight, I can say that if I had a hugely successful film when I was younger, I wouldn’t have had to continue coming back to the drawing board and asking, “How do you get better at this?” ‘”, he said.

In addition, the Golden Globe-winning actor acknowledged that portraying Elvis Presley in the 2022 biopic taught him more about working in Hollywood and the potential emptiness that can accompany fame.

“It has made me reconsider who I seek counsel from and who I keep close to me. “Playing Elvis also made me consider how one might appear to have everything but still feel empty,” Austin explained.

“Even if all of your goals come true, you may still be seeking something deeper and feel quite alone. You feel an abundance of public affection, and then you return to a quiet chamber.”

After acting in Baz Luhrmann’s film a year ago, the Carrie Diaries alum’s popularity has increased. In addition to receiving a Golden Globe Award for his efforts on the project, Austin has been nominated for an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role.

The 31-year-old actor said to The Hollywood Reporter that his biggest accomplishment was impressing the late Lisa Marie Presley and Priscilla Presley.

“Nothing I could do would ever equal those moments when Lisa Marie and Priscilla saw the film and I first saw them afterward,” he stated in the statement. “And especially considering Lisa Marie’s absence. I wish she were here to celebrate with us today.”
