She moved on to Lockheed Martin in 2003 as a Senior Systems Engineer, where she worked for three years on the Classified Government satellite programme. Audrey Powers worked as a judicial intern in the US District Court for the Northern District of California and participated in legal research while pursuing her law degree. She began working as a summer associate at Fish & Richardson P.C. in 2008, where she focused on regulatory issues such as FCC spectrum licencing, FDA medical device rules, and so on.

She began working as a legal counsel at the Applied Social Research Institute of Cambodia in 2009. The next year, she began working as an Associate at Fish & Richardson P.C., advising the space, high technology, and defence industries. She left the firm in 2013 to work as the Deputy General Counsel for Blue Origin, an aerospace manufacturing company created by Jeff Bezos. She held the role for a few years until being promoted to Vice President Legal in 2019. Audrey Powers was been appointed Vice President, New Shepard Mission and Flight Operations in 2021. Along with the role, she was given the opportunity to fly in the New Shepard spacecraft on a suborbital voyage with William Shatner on October 13th.
