Ashley Callingbull is a Cree First Nations woman from the Enoch Cree Nation in Alberta. She has performed in the Nutcracker as a professional tap, ballet, jazz, and pointe dancer. Ashley’s love of acting prompted her to appear in a commercial for The Hudson Bay, and she has since gone on to appear in television miniseries, stage performances, and do voiceovers for cartoons. She features in Blackstone, a television show that airs on APTN, Showcase, Maori Television, and Hulu Television in New Zealand. She is the first Cree woman to achieve this feat. Ashley was elected Miss Canada in 2010 and has competed in pageants in China, Europe, and Barbados since then.
