At the age of 21, she moved to the United States from Germany.

Career

Anna has designed a number of designs, some of which are available on her website. She is, without a doubt, unemployed. However, there is no other information regarding her career available. This is not the case, however, with the rest of her family. They’re a well-known group. Bill Geisslinger is an actor, which is her father’s occupation. Crash Landing: The Rescue of Flight 232 (1992), Imaginary Crimes (1994), and Ernie Kovacs: Between the Laughter (1998) are among his best-known films (1984). Annette O’Toole is an actress, dancer, and singer-songwriter from the United States.

After auditioning as a “dead cockroach,” O’Toole was cast as a cynical beauty pageant participant in the 1975 parody Smile, in which she played a jaded beauty pageant contestant. Then, in 1977, she starred in the college basketball drama One on One as Robby Benson’s tutor and girlfriend. She starred alongside Gary Busey in the 1980 picture Foolin’ Around. In 1981, she starred in both the HBO stage production of Vanities and the television film Stand By Your Man, both of which focused on country music queen Tammy Wynette’s life. Later in 1982, she appeared in 48 Hours as Nick Nolte’s girlfriend for a brief scene.

She co-starred with Barry Manilow as Lola La Mar, Manilow’s Tony Starr’s love interest, in the CBS television film Copacabana in 1985. She also starred as Ms. Edmunds in the original Bridge to Terabithia in 1985 and in the television adaption of Strong Medicine the following year. Cross My Heart, a romantic comedy starring O’Toole and Martin Short, was released in 1987. In 1990, O’Toole starred in two ABC television miniseries. She got Emmy nominations for her roles as adult Beverly Marsh in Stephen King’s It miniseries and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy in The Kennedys of Massachusetts, for which she was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress. She then starred in the 1992 NBC miniseries Jewels, which was based on Danielle Steel’s novel of the same name.

In the 1993 film Desperate Justice, O’Toole played Ellen Wells. She portrayed Cheryl Keeton in the 1995 Lifetime television film Dead by Sunset, which was based on Ann Rule’s true crime novel of the same name. She had a recurrent part on the television series Nash Bridges (1996) and featured in her own series The Huntress as a female bounty hunter (2000). Keeping the Promise, a 1997 television film, featured O’Toole. O’Toole returned to the Superman mythos in the television series Smallville as Martha Kent, Superman’s adopted mother, in October 2001, 18 years after playing Lana Lang in Superman III. She remained a part of the main cast of the show, albeit in the background, until the sixth season finished.

It was revealed on January 19, 2010, that O’Toole would appear in at least one episode of Smallville. On November 22, 2010, O’Toole played Veronica, a middle-aged woman suffering from severe Alzheimer’s disease, in season 3 episode 7 of the television series Lie to Me. In 2016, O’Toole appeared in the Stephen King mini-series 11.22.63’s ‘The Kill Floor’ episode as boarding house owner Edna Price.

O’Toole portrayed Hope McCrea in the Netflix series Virgin River. In retrospect, O’Toole’s songwriting career can be traced back to events that occurred during a car ride shortly after the September 11 attacks; as her husband Michael McKean put it, “On September 11, 2001, Annette found herself without an airline to transport her back to Los Angeles from Vancouver, where she films Smallville.” As a result, she rented a car and drove down. We traveled back up together, and somewhere between Portland and Seattle, she told me she was listening to a song in her brain on the long drive up.”

Potato’s in the Paddy Wagon was one of three songs written by the pair for the film A Mighty Wind, which also featured the Oscar-nominated “A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow.” For the 2004 Disney children’s album A World of Happiness, O’Toole sang “What Could Be Better?” a song she co-wrote with her husband. The duo performed a cabaret act in New York City for “Feinstein’s at the Regency” in May–June 2005. On July 7, 2007, O’Toole sang as a backing singer for her husband’s fictional band Spinal Tap at the Live Earth performances in London. She also appeared on the band’s Unwigged and Unplugged tour in 2009 and provided lyrics to the Spinal Tap song “Short and Sweet” on the band’s Back from the Dead album in 2009.

She starred in CAP21’s production of Southern Comfort, a new musical based on Dan Collins and Julianne Wick Davis’ Sundance award-winning documentary. Finally, when it came to Nell Geisslinger’s career, she began by joining an acting company. She began her work at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival as an intern. Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire, Portia in Medea/Macbeth/Cinderella, Louison in The Imaginary Invalid, and Chorus in Oedipus Complex are just a few of the roles Geisslinger has done. She was affiliated with the festival for eleven seasons.

She also appeared in Twelfth Night at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Tribes at Berkeley Rep, The Foreigner at Cincinnati Playhouse, and Mary’s Wedding at Actors Theatre. In 1990, she made her television debut in the miniseries IT. She was cast as Christina in the series Jewels after a few years. In 2019, she starred as Gracie in The Ride Home, a short film, and as Willow in Abby & Jack, a feature film. She also appears in the films Chloe and Keith’s Wedding as Rose Perkins. Her stepfather and she are presently co-producing Food: Fact or Fiction?
