Who is Amber Marshall?

Amber Marshall (born June 2, 1988) is a Canadian actress, singer, and equestrian who has appeared in a number of films. Amy Fleming in the long-running Canadian television series Heartland is her most well-known role, and she has acted in a number of films and television programs. Marshal was honored with inaugural Canada’s Screen Star Award at the 1st Canadian Screen Awards for her role in the television series “The Blacklist.”

Early Life and Bio

Marshall was born and raised in the Ontario city of London. Marshall, a former veterinary assistant, has been riding horses since she was able to walk. She describes her two favorite things as “acting and horses,” which she feels are the same thing. Marshall attended the Lester B. Pearson School for the Arts, where she began acting at the age of 11, and she then attended the Original Kids Theatre Company as a child.

Career

Marshall made her television acting debut in the 2000 series Super Rupert, in which she starred. The next year, she appeared on an episode of the television series Twice in a Lifetime. Following that, she appeared in the television shows Doc (2002) and Dark Oracle (2004), as well as the television film The Christmas Shoes (2005). (2002).

In 2003, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award in Los Angeles for Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries, or Special for Leading Young Actress for The Elizabeth Smart Story, a movie-of-the-week based on the true story of the kidnapping of Utah teenager Elizabeth Smart in 2002. She won the award in 2004 for her performance in The Elizabeth Smart Story. In 2007, Marshall was cast as Amy Fleming in the upcoming CBC series Heartland, which will premiere in 2008. Lauren Brooke’s 25-novel series, on which the show is based, is the inspiration for the show.

The series started on Canadian television in October 2007, and the fourteenth season premiered on January 10, 2021, marking the series’ fourteenth year on the air. It is about a young woman named Amy Fleming who lives in the imaginary town of Hudson, Alberta, and is filmed in the nearby town of High River Alberta. Their horse ranch, called Heartland, has a long history of curing horses, and her family is a part of that legacy. Marshall was awarded inaugural Canada’s Screen Star Award at the 1st annual Canadian Screen Awards for her role in the series for which she received the award. Heartland eclipsed Street Legal as the longest-running one-hour scripted drama in the history of Canadian television when it aired its final episode in 2015.

Personal Life

As of 2016, Marshall and her husband, Shawn Turner, reside on a farm ranch just outside of Calgary, Alberta, where they raise their animals. Marshall and Shawn, a photographer, tied the knot on July 27, 2013, after getting engaged in the spring of 2012.

Aside from working at a local veterinary clinic and spending time with her many animals on her farm ranch in Calgary, Alberta, Marshall volunteers at a local animal shelter. She has a variety of animals, including horses, dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and an alpaca. Besides that, she has worked as a volunteer at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, where she took raptor training and gained experience working with falcons and hawks.
