Growing up without her parents was difficult for Sylla because her dad wasn’t involved in her life. In her introduction on Now United’s YouTube channel, she said:

It wasn’t great since… I’m reflecting on the time I spent apart from my mother. For me, it was difficult since it is difficult to live without your parents when you are young. about my father I’ve only ever seen him two or three times, so I don’t know anything about him.

When Sylla first began singing at age six, she already had aspirations of being a professional singer. She used singing as an escape from her problems, and whenever she sang, she felt liberated.

When Sylla was eight years old, she moved home with her mother, but her mother forbade her from singing. Sylla’s mother preferred that she concentrate on her studies in the hopes that one day she would assume a governmental position.

Diarra had good academics, but her true love was singing. Fortunately, in 2015, her mother agreed to let her take part in Sen P’tit Galle, which she won. After then, Sylla’s mother fully supported her enthusiasm. Diarra took part in the Now United talent hunt with her mother’s encouragement, and she was selected to represent Africa.

Diarra Sylla is now a member of Now United

Although she is now a member of Now United, she eventually hopes to start a solo career. Diarra is succeeding with Now United, but she intends to launch a solo career shortly. She does not, however, wish to jump into a solo career too soon.

Working with Now United has taught Sylla the value of patience as she strives to create music that listeners would connect to. In a Q&A video that was uploaded on Febre Teen’s YouTube page, she said:

“I want to sing songs in my way, which is what motivates me to pursue a solo career. I have always liked R&B and Afrobeat music. And I won’t lie, United Songs are currently really dancy, entertaining, and everything, but I was searching for my style, which is what makes me want to launch a solo career as soon as possible.

Diarra has begun making plans for her venture, but she has encountered several difficulties

During the Q&A session, Sylla clarified:

“I encountered some difficulty because things do not come to us on a silver platter in this manner. Sometimes when you want to do something, people won’t support you or will say, “You’re not ready for that.” You are insufficient for that. You still can’t do that, you still can’t do that.

However, I rarely pay attention to that. In all honesty, I want to reach the point where people say, “Oh, she was right doing that.

Sylla is aware that she will face additional difficulties, but she has a good outlook and is confident that she will succeed in the end.
