Gueye was born and reared in the Montreuil region, which is infamous for both positive and negative characteristics. Because his father was strict with him and his brothers, they avoided associating with criminals.
He was highly protective of them and would remind them that they could only leave the house for school or football-related activities.

Gueye stated that he has a close relationship with his parents. It was tough for him to consider leaving home at such a young age, but he understood that sacrifice was necessary to achieve his goals.
In an interview, Gueye revealed that he cried all night while thinking about his parents when he returned home for pre-training when he was 12 years old.
During the day, he attended school, and at night, he frequently contemplated his parents. He even indicated to the director his desire to return home. He spoke with his father on the telephone.
His father assured him that they are behind him and will always be there to encourage him and that he should not be concerned since the days will pass and he will achieve success.
He claimed that he could not stop crying until he consoled himself and assured himself that everything would be well. At age 15, he began training with Le Havre.
He intended to return to the city for a specific reason, but when he does, he will be affluent, indicating that he traveled for nothing.
Gueye’s choice to join Marseille “You must be insane to reject the offer of this club.”
His childhood dream of playing for Marseille was accomplished in July 2020 when he signed with the club. During an interview, he stated that when he was younger, he desired to play for OM, a renowned French and international soccer team.
