The marriage of Laura Linney and Marc Schauer is fulfilling. In other words, her real life is very different from what we see on film. She portrays the ambitious Wendy Byrde in Ozark, where she also has a few marital issues.

Laura Linney and Her Husband’s Love Story
After being engaged since 2007, Linney wed her real estate agent husband in May 2009. They first ran into each other in 2004 at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado. Schauer served as the event’s host and point of contact with the town.
She remembered her first encounter with him in an interview she gave to The New York Times in 2010. She explained that Schauer was a V.I.P. host she had been given for the weekend. The Ozark actress fell in love with the real estate agent at first sight.
She admitted that she had taken a quick look at him and wondered whether she was connected to him. She acknowledged that she was “feeling something beautiful,” yet she was conscious that the sensation was rare for her.
Following emails back and forth, the two decided to meet up in Chicago. When they were joined again, Linney experienced a sense of relief from all of her concerns. They fell in love swiftly and deeply. Soon after, in an outdoor ceremony, they got married.
The married couple is rather discreet when it comes to their marriage. Nothing is known about their relationship as a result.
Laura Linney Talks About Being a Mother
The son of Linney and her spouse was born in January 2014 and is named Bennett Armistead Schauer. She had concealed her pregnancy until she was 49 years old.
On Live with Kelly, Linney revealed to Kelly Ripa that she did not intentionally hide her pregnancy; rather, she chose not to make it known. She had problems becoming pregnant. To ensure that her child arrived safely and in good health, she remained silent.
She realized that becoming a parent had changed her in unexpected ways after giving birth to her son. She saw how her emotions were getting stronger and how her body was acting differently. Her excessive smiling caused her facial muscles to get sore.
Linney acknowledged that it was difficult to balance being a parent and her profession. The actress wanted to give her child her whole attention, but she soon learned that this was impossible. She was ultimately limited to managing parenthood and a career to the best of her ability.
