Asaad Amin

Asaad Amin (real name: Asaad Amin Ali) is Muhammad Ali’s youngest son. The late patriarch of the family is revered as one of the 20th century’s all-time great athletes. Even though Asaad wasn’t Muhammad’s biological son, the bond between them was strong. “Muhammad Ali was more than just my dad,” he famously stated of his father.

Muhammad passed away in June 2016. Surely at this prime of his life, Asaad is missing his father. To wit: we have no idea what Asaad Amin is up to right now. Is Amin involved in the same fields as his father, or has he chosen a different one?

Age and upbringing aside, Asaad Amin is Muhammad Ali’s adopted son

Asaad is the adoptive son of Muhamad Ali, the famous boxer who passed away in June of this year. Yolanda (“Lonnie”) Williams, the boxer’s wife, first heard about Asaad from her friend whose sister happened to be babysitting Asaad.

The couple quickly chose to adopt the young boy. Ali and his wife fell in love with Asaad after meeting him and decided to adopt him. When Ali and his wife adopted Amin, he was only five months old.

As of early 2022, Amin will be 35 years old. He entered the world on March 12, 1986, in the United States of America. Even though Asaad has never known either of his original parents, he enjoys a close relationship with both of his adoptive parents. When he was young, he resided primarily in a Michigan town.

Amin reflected on his early life, saying,

“We owned a farm. “It was a place to get away from the stresses of everyday life.”

It’s so tiny that nobody’s going to bother looking for you,” Asaad Amin chimed in.
