The law enforcement unit detaining disgraced and barred lawyer Alex Murdaugh in South Carolina’s Lowcountry uploaded his new mugshot (feature image) this week. On the first day of testimony in his double homicide case, Murdaugh can be seen wearing what appears to be a white and brown gingham-style shirt with a white T-shirt underneath.
Following his arrest in late September 2021 in connection with an alleged insurance fraud scheme that is thought to be only distantly related to his ongoing murder prosecution, the defendant’s initial mugshot was made public.
Murdaugh appeared in another mugshot in July 2022, this time with a short-cropped haircut and heavily toned down appearance. That image surfaced after the defendant appeared in court for a brief bond hearing during which he agreed to spend the entirety of his murder trial in prison.
Trial Evidence in the Case of Alex Murdaugh
In June 2021, Alex Murdaugh allegedly murdered his wife, Margaret “Maggie” Murdaugh, 52, and Paul Murdaugh, 22. Prosecutors opened the double murder trial for the disgraced SC lawyer on Wednesday, after 19 months of speculation. They were discovered shot in the head with at least one bullet from two different firearms.
Because the shotgun was so close to his head, Paul Murdaugh’s brain exploded and was discovered at his feet. Alex Murdaugh sobbed during the trial as his lawyer discussed the gruesome details. In his opening statement, prosecutor Creighton Waters stated that bullets were pulled from bodies that matched ammunition boxes found around the house, phones that were never used again, and a seat belt with gunshot residue.
Prosecutors spent the last three weeks of the trial attempting to overcome the lack of concrete evidence, such as an eyewitness, linking Murdaugh to the murders.
Who Is Brooklynn White, Buster Murdaugh’s Girlfriend?

We may not have seen much of Brooklynn White in Murdaugh Murders (docuseries), but she is Buster Murdaugh’s dependable and honest girlfriend. She has stood by her boyfriend during the Murdaugh trial and other difficult times.
Buster has experienced loss like no other: his mother and brother were murdered, possibly by his own father. In addition, one of his friends, Stephen Smith, was killed in 2015; Smith was discovered dead in the middle of the road, and his death was ruled a hit-and-run.
Brooklynn White, according to Distractify, owns a condo in Hilton Head, South Carolina. She is also a Juris Doctor student at the University of South Carolina School of Law. Brooklynn attended the University of Alabama and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2018.
