Alan Bradley, A Coronation Street Villain, Was Killed By A TV Tram

Alan Bradley

After being saved, the tram that ran over and murdered Coronation Street lousy guy Alan Bradley will find a new home at a museum.

27 million viewers watched the episode in which Bradley chased Rita Fairclough, his patient partner, into the path of the tram in Blackpool.

It would cost £2,500 to transport the tram to Blackpool’s Tramtown Museum because it was about to be evicted from its previous residence.

The money required to save it has now been raised through a public appeal.

Transporting it from neighboring Fleetwood required funding. The tram could not remain there since the site where it had been housed will now serve another function.

Paul Galley, a councilor and volunteer with Tramtown, said to the BBC: “We are engaging with the hauliers to see when we can transfer it.

But now that the development has begun, we expect to open the attraction in 2023 with a Coronation Street actor.

He claimed there was a proposal to “give the tram back its 1980s aesthetic” and build a specific section of the museum devoted to the long-running soap opera.

The most common query we receive from visitors to Tramtown is “Where is the tram that murdered Alan Bradley,” therefore we are confident that it will be well-attended.

The Fleetwood Heritage Leisure Trust has owned the double-decker, also known as tram number 710, and it has been based in Fleetwood Docks.

By the end of the year, the tram must be moved into its new location.
