After Support Acts Play, N-Dubz Abruptly Cancel Their Performance

After their support bands had performed, N-Dubz abruptly postponed a gig, leaving fans upset and dissatisfied. Following the group’s recent return after 11 years, the performance at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham was a part of their The Back To The Future tour.

One supporter claimed the cancellation made her feel “mugged off.” N-Dubz apologized but stated that vocalist Dappy would not be able to perform because physicians had suggested rest.

Dappy said on his Instagram account a few hours before the performance that his voice was “essentially gone” as a result of performing “too many performances back to back.”

I’m very sorry Nottingham, he subsequently wrote in another story post. However, the venue did not make the news on a big screen on the main stage until after the audience had seen the support acts.

The performance has since been rescheduled for 7 December at the same location, according to N-Dubz.

“Everyone was in a rage”

Katie Simpson, a 21-year-old from Nottingham, said she felt “mugged off” by the group and that following the announcement, the environment turned “very terrifying.”

Everyone was in a rage, she added, and beer was being poured all over the place and beverages were being thrown on the stage.

“There was fighting, and spectators approached the stewards to inquire as to what was happening.

Five minutes before they were set to perform, they let us down. They have ridiculed us to the hilt.

Following the cancellation, Ms. Simpson requested a refund since she would not want to attend a newly planned performance.

According to Nottinghamshire Police, there have been no reports of disruptions.

A spokeswoman for Motorpoint Arena stated that certain allegations of disturbances on social media were “wholly incorrect.”

According to the spokesperson,

“there was no significant crowd disruption, the police were not required or present on site, and there was no criminal damage to any vehicles or the facility itself.”

In reality, despite their severe disappointment and annoyance, almost everyone behaved admirably, and we appreciate their composure.

A few people on social media called the cancellation “appalling” and “a farce.”

Others questioned why, if the organizers were aware of Dappy’s condition, they had permitted spectators to attend and the other bands to perform.

Dappy, whose real name is Costadinos Contostavlos, his cousin Tulisa Contostavlos, and Fazer, whose real name is Richard Rawson, make up the group.
