Menounos met her husband Undergaro as a college student in Boston while working on a film production when she was nineteen years old. “It was instantaneous,” she recounted.
Similarly, after meeting Menounos for the first time, Udergaro stated he had never met anyone like her. Their initial encounter was brief, as Udergaro withdrew following the conclusion of filming.
As they said their goodbyes, though, the couple was filled with emotion. They were surprised as to why, after only a few days together, they felt such a strong connection.
Menounos, on the other hand, stated she was well aware of their heavenly compatibility. She was determined to do whatever to ensure Undergaro fell in love with her, as she was convinced he was the one.

Menounos, Maria Menounos’ intentions to live with Undergaro would be difficult to implement because her father was strict and she knew he would not permit her to marry a non-Greek. Nonetheless, this difference played an important role in drawing the couple closer together.
She added that both of their families had their own dramas, but that their mutual trust and faith in one another allowed them to persevere. But, Menounos’s romantic relationship came at a high price.
Her father rejected her because she disobeyed family tradition by living with Undergaro in an unfinished basement with three other people and no money.
While they clung to each other’s affection in the face of adversity, their desire to establish a name for themselves in Hollywood kept them going.
Undergaro recalls telling his wife that she was famous and held something unique. He reassured her that they would eventually triumph over their obstacles and realize their aspirations of becoming Hollywood stars.
Maria Menounos’s Engagement and Wedding to Her Husband
During their 2016 visit to The Howard Stern Show, the couple confirmed their engagement. First, they appeared on the talk program to promote Menounos’s cookbook, The Every Girl’s Guide to Cooking.
Undergaro told the host that the couple’s engagement on the Howard Stern stage was a significant moment. After a year and a half, Menounos and Undergaro would marry in a manner they never could have anticipated.
Their wedding on New Year’s Eve in Times Square, New York City, was officiated by Steve Harvey and televised live on the Fox network. Undergaro claimed that their wedding would not have been as special if they had wed seventeen years earlier.
