ACCUSATIONS AGAINST TIGER WOODS REGARDING SEXUAL HARASSMENT

Tiger Woods

Erica Herman, Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend, is now accusing him of sexually harassing her on multiple occasions throughout their relationship.

Herman alleged in newly filed court documents on Friday that Woods sexually accosted her shortly after she began working at his Florida restaurant, The Woods Jupiter.

Herman claims in the documents that Woods employed her personally in 2014 and then pursued a romantic relationship with her. In 2017, she claimed that he “compelled her to sign a nondisclosure agreement… or be fired from her job.”

Sexual harassment occurs when a supervisor imposes differing working conditions on an employee based on their sexual relationship, as Herman’s attorneys wrote in a court filing.

Herman then alleged in the documents that Woods sexually accosted her in 2022.

She claimed that because their sexual relationship had ended, he evicted her from their residence, which, according to her, constitutes sexual harassment.

“The landlord conditioned the availability of her housing on her having a sexual relationship with a co-tenant,” Herman’s counsel wrote in the court documents. This conduct constitutes sexual harassment according to federal and Florida fair housing laws.

Woods has not yet responded to the new, specific sexual harassment allegations; however, in March, he vehemently refuted any sexual misconduct with Herman. As part of his denial, Woods referred to Herman as “a jilted ex-girlfriend.”

Herman addressed the remark in her filing on Friday, labeling it “consistent with his harassing behavior.”

In the filing, Herman’s attorneys wrote,

“This petulant response is taken from the classic playbook of powerful men accused of sexual harassment who respond by belittling and insulting their victims.”

Herman argued in the documents, once again, that a nondisclosure agreement she had with the golfing legend should be deemed unenforceable under the federal Speak Out Act, which prohibits the enforceability of a nondisclosure agreement signed before a dispute involving sexual assault or sexual harassment arises.
